Hargita Mecseki was born in Budapest. She grew up in a plain, large family which was, however, rich in human value. Her manifold talent was recognized soon by her teachers. She studied in the Hungarian Academy of the Fine Arts.
Hargita Mecseki’s art deals with the essential questions of lyric characterization of the man, love and affection, belief and inner life. The magnificence and timelessness of the archaic Greek and Egyptian sculpture exercise a strong influence on her, keeping this traditions of classical values. Her sculpture are inspired by the music and they inspire her in music.
